Dear friends and supporters
Sad news, the Leicester Living with Psychiatric Medication group has come to an end after 12 1/2 years.  We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the years.  Your support has meant that Leicester has had a space for people to talk openly about psychiatric medication and how it is effecting our lives.  Many of us felt that this was not available elsewhere and we have grown in confidence as a result.
We are extremely proud to have contributed to several projects drawing attention to our experiences with psychiatric drugs such as the drug mugs amnesty, a chapter for the book ‘Madness Contested‘ (PCCS books) and a film project ‘Living With Stigma‘ all of which you can still find on this web site.  Group members have also been part of national conference presentations and teaching to trainee clinical psychologists at the University of Leicester.
Although we see this as the end of an era, it’s also a celebration of what we have achieved.
with many thanks again for your support
In solidarity,
